About Kaitlyn
For as long as I can remember, I have known the joy of the Lord. Those who know me have probably heard me say that I think life is fun. I love being alive!
I‘ve lived in the beautiful state of Colorado since I was four years old. I love the mountains and panoramic view.
My family is an amazing one… my dad and mom love Jesus and have trained me to follow His ways. I’ve never heard them question the goodness of God even when the burdens of this world have been almost unbearable. They are strong and for that I am grateful.
I have amazing siblings! I consider both my older sister Melissa and younger sister Hannah to be my best friends. My brother Micah and brother in law Eric look out for me and I look up to them. Four of my greatest joys in life are found in my nieces and nephews… Josiah, Emmanuelle, Isabelle and Judah!
God has placed friends in my life that have become like family… I am very blessed to be surrounded by men and women who encourage me in my walk with the Lord while having a blast doing so!
I was always a busy kid… involved in dance, piano, worship, leadership teams, drama, track, soccer, swim team, gymnastics, 4-H etc…
I have always loved being active and especially with anything involving the outdoors. I get sad when I have to spend an entire day inside.
I enjoy running (especially in the rain), hiking, water skiing, back packing, tubing, biking, snow skiing and anything that involves adventure. I like to travel… and start “itching” to leave when I’ve been in the states for long periods of time. I’ve had the joy of doing mission work in Japan, Mexico, South Africa and India and look forward to wherever else God wants to take me.
I’ve always been a dreamer! I’ve got a list of 172 things that I hope to do while alive on earth. Many of those dreams have come true… I think everyone needs to create a dream list.
I very much enjoy journaling. I don’t keep just one journal but several including: a prayer journal, a Jesus journal (this one is my favorite), a “things to smile about” journal (everyone needs one of these too… you just write down everything that makes you smile in life! I’m up to 718 things that make me smile), a random everyday-life journal and a couple of others. I enjoy waking up early, getting a cup of hot coffee (I really don’t like lukewarm coffee) and reading the Word then journaling about what God’s placed on my heart.
After graduating from high school, I attended New Life School of Worship in Colorado Springs, where I learned from some top worship leaders including Glenn Packiam and Jared Anderson. That year of my life was amazing. It helped prepare me for the next year that I was to spend serving as the Jr. High worship leader at my home church. That year in the Springs also brought me to a place of humility. I realized how small I was in comparison to God. There were so many anointed worship leaders at the school. Knowing that God can use whomever He pleases, I realized that just because I can sing and play an instrument it does not mean that God needs me for the purpose of leading worship. This made me understand that if He chose to use me it would only be accomplished through His grace and anointing. I can not be anointed on my own… I have to have the Holy Spirit moving in and through me!
After that year I attended Beacon University and enjoyed leading worship for the youth group. At the same time, God began revealing another desire within my heart which was to GO to the nations, preach His name, and reach His people around the world for the purpose of enlarging His Kingdom. So I went to Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas. CFNI was an awesome time God used to help mold my heart and set it even more on fire for Him.
I’m undone by how awesome God is! He is constantly revealing His beauty to me. One of the amazing things about God is that His ways are unsearchable! And so, I’m found in a place of worship… quite often. I’ll be driving and be caught by emotion as I look to the mountains or see an eagle flying high; as I notice the height of a tree or the graceful beauty of a horse galloping… all things created by the One I call Abba Father. It’s in the place of worship that my soul rests, that my heart focuses and that I realize what life is really all about. We sing the words, “holy, worthy, mighty, awesome etc…” but do we realize how awesome God is!?! No! We can’t fully comprehend Him so we can’t fully understand just how marvelous He truly is. Yet, when I choose to enter into His presence I get a glimpse of His heart and my life is changed by it.
I’ve had the joy of leading worship in church services, as well as camps, conferences, chapels, and various groups ranging from children to adults. The amazing thing about leading worship is seeing hearts stirred with passion for Jesus. I love watching a child fall to their knees in worship! I’ve seen young ones cry out to God as tears stream down their face. I’ve heard the cry of the young and old rise to Heaven… a cry for mercy, a cry of love and a cry of desperation. I’ve observed the shyness of youth in worship, but then seen the freedom that can only come from God as they raise their hands and surrender all. I’ve heard the Angels join in and orchestral sounds of Heaven while leading. I’ve experienced the thick and real presence of God that has brought me to my face and caused me to stay low.
God is real! I’m humbled by Him and recognize that I am nothing without Him. I only desire to please my Father and do whatever it is He asks of me. I can’t live without Him. I desire to continue walking in passion and seeing the people of God fall intimately in love their Maker. I feel an urgency to pursue Jesus with more fervency than I ever have before, and to encourage His people to do the same.
I am desperate for more of God! I see the need of this generation… we’ve got to encounter Jesus. We need more of the Lord. We need His mercy. It’s time to walk in the power that God has given us through His Son and to love the way Jesus loves. I’m excited to hug the hurting, to witness the sick healed, to worship with the hosts of Heaven and those here on earth, to see the remnant of the hungry increase, to experience the presence of God, to watch dry hearts become drenched with a new love for Christ, to see passion awakened once again, to see those in bondage receive freedom through Jesus, and to bless the heart of the Almighty through praise and worship!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a bit more. I pray that your heart will indeed begin to cry out for more of God in your own life and that you will choose to worship the only One who truly deserves it!
Living joyfully in Him,

I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. Romans 1:16
