Up-Hill
Does the road wind up-hill all the way?
Yes,to the very end.
Will the day’s journey take the whole day long
From morn to night my friend.
But is there for the night a resting place?
A roof for when the slow dark hours begin.
May not the darkness hide it from my face.
You can not miss that inn.
Shall I meet no other wayfarers at night?
Those who have gone before.
Then must I knock,or call when just in sight?
They will not keep you standing at that door.
Shall I find comfort,travel-sore and weak?
Of labour you will find the sum.
Will ther be beds for me and all who seek?
Yea beds for all who come.
Pat:-)
Hi Kaitlyn,
Just stumbled across your Blog through Erics site - Well done and very inspirational.
I love your music. Songs reminded me of Steven Curtis Chapmann. Your list especially reminded me of his ‘Let Us Pray‘.
I also recently wrote about the concept of being thankful, my link connects to that page.
Thank you again for such a moving list of things to smile about. I always wrap up my comedy show by singing ‘Smile‘ from Charlie Chaplin, because it is the best thing we can give to people and doesn‘t cost anything but is still priceless.
Have a blessed day.
Cheers, Smiles and Laughs,

Thanks for sharing!
You are right when you say that there is so much to be thankful for yet not enough time spent acutually being thankful!
What an awesome job you have… making people smile!
I add to my “smile” list weekly and the more I add, the more amazing life really seems… God’s given us so much to smile about.
Blessings,
Kaitlyn
