Trust

It’s easy to trust God and worship Him when everything is going “right” in life, isn’t it?  When you wake up to sunshine and nothing weighing heavily upon your heart.  Yup… that’s when trusting and worshipping God is easy.  But I want to be the kind of person who NEVER doubts that God will see me through.  I want to be someone who through thick or thin continues to stand on the promises of God and call Him for what He is… always faithful!

Life is way too short to get caught up in the stress of things and cause us to be so consumed by frustrating thoughts that we miss out on hearing God’s voice or just simply being in His presence.  Take a time of worship for instance.  I’ll admit that there have been a few times that I’ve gone through worship services and gotten to the end before I’ve realized that I didn’t even genuinely focus on who it was I was singing about!  Crazy!  And why was that?  Oh, I was probably thinking too hard about something concerning me thus taking my eyes off of my Father who is perfect peace and has for me a perfect love.  Can we go into a time of worship and lay aside the cares and worries to spend time with our Maker?  I don’t ever want to take His presence for granted!  We’ve got to grow in trust!  We’ve got to hush the enemy and all his lies and choose to focus on God and give Him the praise He is worthy of.  Worship isn’t boring… EVER!  It’s amazing… ALWAYS!

A few weeks ago during a jr high service a bunch of people stayed after service to continue worshipping.  We worshipped until 7 min. shy of 11:00 p.m.!  It was incredible!  At one point I thought that I was going to have to stop singing cuz’ my voice was pretty much shot but then… I felt the breath of God in my throat and it was one of the coolest things ever!  I’ve heard heavenly instruments during worship and have even smelled fragrances of Heaven… God is amazing!!!  If we could just press in deeper every time we’re given the chance to worship… our lives would be forever changed.  My life has been forever changed through the encounters I’ve had with God during worship.

It doesn’t always look the same.  No matter what we’re going through God can meet us where we are at.  I love it when God’s love is poured out during worship and we get to bask in it.  Or when there is that stirring for intercession and God uses us as His warriors.  Or when we our crying out for His glory and begin to see His miracle working power in action.  The list goes on and on.  We’ve just got to continue to worship NO MATTER WHAT!

When you truly trust God, even when life is rough… and there will be times that it is… you will be able to worship depsite how you feel.  God is always worthy of our worship!  Let’s be a people who never forgets that and always give Him glory.

Blessings!

      Christians
‘ The Christian creed is love. ‘

As rocks within a stormy sea

They stand against the pounding seas

      Without fear nor pride

Turning a cheek to take the blows.

      Jesus Christ

      Suffered death upon the cross

So that all who believe in him

      Shall never die
